The Kilfenora Ceili Band celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, 2009. And what a year it has been for the band so far. A brand new album, “Century” which does what it says on the tin. It’s a celebration of 100 years of traditional music from the small north Clare village of Kilfenora and the band that made the village famous all over the world. The band comes to the New Ross River festival as part of a world tour to celebrate its anniversary. Show starts at 9pm and tickets cost €15.
